Labor Day 2012 we welcomed with the Goss'. How better to celebrate an American holiday, than with the Brits?! Wyckoff hosted a fireworks show and concert at the park. We packed a picnic and headed out for an evening of bagpipes, fireworks and fun. We missed our darling friends and it was a nice way to start our new school year.

On Labor Day, where we typically spend it at our lake house in Alabama, we were looking for something fun to do in New Jersey. That's where the Fierro's come in....they always have something fun brewing. We drove out to Long Beach Island (LBI) for the first time ever and spent the day on the beach and at their beach house, cooking, catching up and fishing. Love the Fierro's!

Look! They caught an eel!
Dave's loaner car for the weekend....yes, we miss our Porsche's.
Off for another hike! That's what we do best and the mountains of New Jersey offer so many hikes to choose from....we hike a new one every time.
I think this is Kobe's perfect outing.

A lazy Saturday for Olivia
Apple picking!! Warwick, NY has plenty of apple orchards. We made so many apple crisps after our visit. We picked just the right amount before we were caught in a huge thunderstorm....all soaking wet :-)
After we arrived home from fishing, Olivia found her beloved gerbil, Charlie had passed away. He lived to a ripe, old age. He was loved by the Pryor's.
Finally! We took our boat out on the Hudson River. It was amazing. We went under the Tappan Zee Bridge, under the George Washington Bridge into Manhattan and right next to the Intrepid. It was a once in a lifetime boating experience! Look at the beautiful day!
Our neighbor, Rich Luhr's, went along for the ride.
