Sketchy's Art Pad and giving blood...

I finally decided to take Olivia and Zach in for their bloodwork to test for Celiac Disease. Olivia needs more tests for her allergies to peanuts and fish to see if there is a chance she'll grow out of them. We'll find out in about a week.... Zach was awesome. A bit of numbing creme (EMLA creme for anyone needing it in the future) and he was golden! No cries, just hung out while they were taking blood. Olivia came into the room and saw what was going on. I don't think she felt it either, but she cried a sympathy cry anyway. All in all, I was more worked up about getting it done. They had no clue, so whew!, check that 'bad deed' off the list. Olivia made sure to tell me "that wasn't nice!"

I rewarded them with a trip to Sketchy's Art Pad today. They love this place because there is an endless supply of paint, craft's, glue, glitter, etc. to keep them busy. We ALWAYS bring home masterpieces. So, for those grandparents out there, we'll share because we have plenty of artwork to go around! Watch out, Van Gogh!

They also begged for a Dunkin DoNup (yes, that's their pronounciation of it). So, since I was feeling guilty, they got a guilt-ridden Strawberry Donup with sprinkles. Their favorite...

Zach's 3.....

We had Zach's 3rd Birthday party at the Peachtree DeKalb airport on Saturday. It turned out to be a beautiful day to play on the playground and watch the airplanes and helicopters overhead. Hey, and cake is always a plus too! Zach had no less than 2 or 3 boys by his side at all times (his gang).

He fell asleep on the way home and Olivia said "since Zach's asleep, I'll open his presents for him"!! Silly girl. She was serious, though, so we had to remind her that it wasn't a good idea.

Oh the fun those kids had with new toys and books! It occupied the afternoon.

Friday Gardening

We had Brady over today and they had fun playing outside. Their imaginations run wild and it's so much fun to 'listen in'. I had to keep a check on them since they were pruning my plants a bit too much. Olivia picked a cluster of leaves, put them in her water cup and made an arrangement for the table while they had a snack. Crafty, little girl. Notice Zach's shoes...he traded out his flip-flops for my big Crocs. He said he 'needed new tires'. Olivia plays kitty cat and he plays like he's a car. Never a dull moment!

Doctor's Visit and Kitty Cats

Thursday was a fun day for the kids. Not sure why, but they love going to see Dr. Ellerine, their pediatrician. Hmm? In the car on the way to school, Olivia made sure to ask loudly in front of Zach, if he would be getting a SHOT. Thanks Olivia. It was very quiet in the backseat after that comment. Zach went for his 3 year check-up and they thought it was fun to ride the old fashion horse. They were nice enough to take turns and show off their lolly pops. Maybe that's why they like their doctor. The kids took a nap in the car on the way to a friend's house. Olivia woke up and said "I wasn't sleeping" - of course not! "Mom, I need a '(ma)ssage tonight, my body is frustrated". I give her massages sometimes at night, so she's getting used to it (and I love the frustrated part...)! Afterwards, we went to see Clare's kittys. Notice, I didn't say, to see Clare....As you all probably know, Olivia LOVES cats, so this is a big treat for her. She carried Quincy around the entire time she is there - poor cat.
