It took me until the end of our Spring Break to finally send correspondence out that we are, in fact, moving. To New Jersey of all places, but I am excited for the new adventure and calmed by the fact that we have many more months here in the South to prepare. Dave will start at Jaguar April 18 and will be commuting until we move up there at some point this summer. Or...until we find a house! The kids are excited as well, so that makes things a bit easier on us.
Spring Break was very low key for us. We visited the lake during the first weekend, cleaned the boat, rested, read, played, fished (with the neon worms), kids had a water gun fight, made frozen yogurt treats all by themselves, slept...again, very low key. I took very few pictures over this break, which is very unlike me. It was a bit chilly on the water, but we all seemed to get a lot of sun (in the places we forgot to sunscreen). It's the inaugural 'missing of the sunscreen' badge you wear for a month until the real tan hides your mistakes. Kobe and the kids needed some lake and beach time. I have a few pictures of all of us relaxing on the boat. One afternoon, I had all three (including Kobe) asleep on me.
Kobe shed (or blew) his coat over the break and our house shows it. Wow at the hair! He has a new spring look to him without paying a high price for grooming. Au natural....
Other than the lake, the kids were lucky enough to take me to surgery on Wednesday at 6:00 am. Oh, such luck those kids have...they were troopers and so was I. I was a bit worked up on Tuesday, but the kids and I kept busy all day by going to the movies (Diary of a Wimpy Kid), running errands, and whatnot. Diary of a Wimpy Kid has a small part with a scary movie in it. Well, that set Zach off. He has yet to go to sleep by himself since Tuesday night. Never again!
The kids were begging for no more errands. Ha! Happy Spring Break to ya! After Wednesday, I can't really say what happened. I didn't see the outside until Saturday. That's how it goes when you have a cadaver replacement ACL in you and are on crutches. But, when I did go outside, it was beautiful. Dave has been working on our landscaping for the past week and it is gorgeous! Again, no pictures. We are on the countdown of 6 weeks before school is out. This is a busy time of year, with baseball, horse riding, soon to be dive team and now Zach wants to play tennis. We have school plays, field trips and talent shows coming up. I better recover quickly so I do not miss anything!
Happy Spring everyone and here's to a great season!
